Thumbs up Viking 1st Game Report..... GLORIOUS!

Our Team fielded 20 Legionnaires at a small Scenario game the other day; about 140+ players, 2 sides mostly comprised of other Teams, few walk-ons. We Won the day, points ending up being roughly 2000 - 900 (decimated anyone? ).

New Viking saw her first full-day game action, and she ended up being the only Marker I used all day. Felt like I had an unfair advantage

Had a Pulse on top, with a DueyDog Bone Pack. Musta run 2 cases through her by the end of the game. (set on Semi @ 16 bps, max debounce (she's bounce-less )

Did some number crunching:
-The Field was only filling 3500-4000psi.
-I was using a CP 68/4500 HP Tank
-Ran a 4.3 Pack (7/140's), with a full Pulse each return to the field = 980 + 170 = 1150.

As we basically dominated all day, at times i found myself easily out of paint, wayyy before I ever came close to running out of air. Many times having to leave the field just for paint, still having 1000-1500psi left . (having used the SFL E-Mag for so many years, a 68/45 with full fill, barely gets 5pods & a Hopper).

Another note; The weather was cold, and both brands of Paint offered were breaking in 3/4 of everyone's Markers... but rarely in the Vike

I'm so satisfied, i'm already looking for another, or maybe even an Excal

-baller

(edit: Forgot to mention, i typically shoot less than a case at any event; been having too much fun with the Hurricane & KP as of late. Just feels good once in a while, to rain down some paint )

Excals are great as well. They are a little heavier and a little slower, but I really like the feel they provide. Glad you had such a good experience with the Viking!

Decimated = taking one from every ten.

As a Legionnaire, I would have guessed you would have learned that during centurian training.

Dude...

You're a LEGIONNAIRE for crying out loud!

How can you not know where that word originated?!?

Decimation was a particularly harsh Roman army punishment for misdeeds or failure in battle. One man in every group of ten was put to death, often at the hands of the officer or the other nine.

Sure the word has been diluted over the millenia, but come on, man. You are supposed to know this stuff in the 13th, if anywhere.

Drum: I never said I didn't know where it originated from, nor did I say that your definition was incorrect. However, when you supplied one of the word's alternative, and older, definitions, it appears as if you did so suggesting it as the true/only meaning; when in fact you simply omitted it's current/up-to-date definition. Rome don't rule no more buddy

think i phrased that right... maybe not, either way...

Side-tracking aside... (big jerk...)... The Viking Kicked Arse!

Nice!!! I'm still kickin myself for selling you that gun but I'm glad to hear it's getting good usage. That trigger on there is so nice and easy to rip. I can see how the extra paint usage came about...

Here's some pics for those who want to revel in her glory:

Easy to see why I miss it so much but I have way to many guns... the unfair advantage comes from your opponents losing their concentration whilst trying to take in the shear beauty of the DC... at which point --------- this occurs

Take good care now...
