Congratulations on the Viking. It sips air and spews paint. I used mine for the first time in a large Scenario with five hundred active players. My first time out, I was standing near the tape line when fifteen memebers of the opposition came down a fire road towards me. When they got within fifty feet I opened up and caused mass panic. I had shot out four and caused the eleven others to jump out of bounds accross the tape line.

This took place right in front of a ref. He casually walked up to then enemy and called them all out for crossing out of bounds. He then said to me," That was an awesome you just wiped out fifteen members of a supposedly unbeatable sponsored team." He then asked we what I was shooting as he had never seen one before. Viking's rule.

Well I did have some jamming issues with extremely large paint but they modified their shell design in the back by removing a tab. Now it works perfectly. The weakness of the stock torque is the low capacity (same as the Halo), the small lid, and it operates like a VLocity but without eyes. It has decent battery life, 1 rechargeable 9-volt almost lasted all day. It can use 1 or 2 9 volts or 1 6 AA battery pack. It is definitely faster than a V-35 Halo. They have a bigmouth shell that is available now that addresses the low capacity and the lid size. There is an optional $50 motor (440 upgrade) that is a bit faster than the stock one.

Does the Torque turn off when your not shooting or is it always on?

Always on like the VLocity. It does have a cool anti-jam button which reverses the drive. The battery life is still fairly decent for always on and its not as loud as the VLocity and I believe its a little bit faster.

Ebay has a couple o LoudMouth Torques 4-sale, but they have the 150 motors. For $90 though... I'm thinking da Torque's a better move than a pricey Magna, while still waiting for the JRNY.

Cool thing about the Vlocity with the virtue is the DST setting. If you don't shoot for awhile it turn off the tension. Would have been nice to see that on the Torque.
