Please help me build a new AKA VLM Spyder & AKA Black Widow Spyder List

Myself and another AKA Vlm Spyder & AKA Black widow enthusiest are trying to put together a list with pictures of all the Vlms & Blackwidows we can find. If you own one please let me know.

There were a total of about 30 VLM bodies

And a confirmed 33 AKA Blackwidow Spyders made.

We know of the old vlm thread. Its very outdated and many pictures are gone.

If you have pictures of Vlm or Blackwidow and know who owns them please post them or email me. Cougar20th at hotmail.com

Thanks for your help and we hope to have something going shortly. Its going to be alot of sorting.

Mine:

AKAPP Black Widow Spyder #0017 of ~33
AKAPP/LMP Javelin Barrel
Palmers Fatty Stabalizer
Unimount
Hogue .45 grips

Here's info I got from Auctionjunkie! and The Lady of the Lake. This is a PM I sent to them with questions when I first got my AKAPP Black Widow Spyder.

I posted the info in this PbN thread a couple years ago.

1. Why are some of the Black Widow Spyders "AKAPP" and some "AKALMP"?
I heard/(read on my barrel) LMP is "Lead Metal Products." What is "PP"? "Paintball Products" or something?

They were made around the time the company was incorporated into AKALMP. That's why some of them were marked AKAPP and some AKALMP. AKAPP stands for AKA Performance Products.

2. How many of these were made? How "rare" is this Spyder really?

Somewhere around 35 or less were made.

3. What pressure should these be running at? (I haven't aired it up yet... wondered what to run the new Stab. at.)

300-350 psi on CO2 or Nitrogen

Any other bits of info you know are welcome...

Please tell him to feel free to PM me with any question. I'll relay the message to Aaron

Thanks,
Pooh

Warfinge is me for those who don't already know. I once upon a time owned the Teal VLM before I sold it to Cougar. Ever really hated yourself for selling a marker?

Anyway Brewtt, is that the stock grip? I thought they had something like proteam grips on the widows. I am envious of your widow. I could have had a body for $125 once and I passed like a dunce. What was I thinking?

Oh and as far as I know, there are no serials on the VLMs. I have fondled two so far and none that I could see anyway.

I don't know... and truthfully I don't think it is the original stock frame. It is however the one that came with it when I bought it from some dude on PBN.

Here's the pic as it came to me. Photo by the dude I got it from.

I, too, remember another one on sale on PBN a few years back. I kick myself all the time for not just buying it.

Well if you had this very expensive grip and a classic sidewinder, it would be in stock trim and priceless. Wanna sell it?

PTP frame ftw.

I know it's not a VLM, but it has all AKA internals

ps I wonder what that VLM body went for on docsmachine. I put a bid of $206 on it and it wasn't enough.
