I'm assuming the red dye causes no ill effects?

Only one I could see is giving white orings a slight pink color, but I havent seen that in any guns I have.

Well in the right dose everything can be considered toxic, even the yellow dye # 5 in Twinkies.

Hm, good to know the only reason to not drink synthetic lubricant is because of the potential for mockery...

That's not the only reason; it will lube your innards and make them work more proficiently for a bit, if you know what I mean.

I just use 100% synthetic air tool oil (SATO) from Lowe's.

I heard that Extreme Lube was pre-additive ATF from shell. So if all they added was the red dye then should be no problem. They may have added something else though.
