| Tadoa board in an Excal? Were there issues and what? I am looking at putting a tadoa board in an excal. I heard there were two runs of the boards made or something like that. Were there problems with them? Do they run the excal as well as they do the vikings? Thanks in advance for the help.

| IIRC, issue has to do with the make of the solenoids as well as the existence of two solenoids in the Excalibur. This is from Will at Tadao: "There were two versions of the Viking board, with the original being unable to power MAC solenoids. It depends on the type of mosfets on the board, which are the two large black boxes side by side. If it says 210 on them, it cannot run MACs, but if it says 014, then it can." While this was written in response to a question about a Viking, IIRC this also applies to Excaliburs. Which solenoids and which Tadao board do you have? custar |
