Thumbs down Tippmann "hi-power regulator"

Here is my question: did I once again get screwed buying a reg that was described as high pressure on eBay but then turned out to be low pressure?

I purchased a $20 Tippmann "proshop hi-power regulator" to use with my F4. The item description says the following:

"You are bidding on a 2006 brand new Tippmann Proshop Hi-Power Inline Vertical Adjacent Regulator. (RED)

This Tippmann HiPower Inline Vertical Adjustable Regulator works for WGP, WDP, AKA, DYE, ANS, Air America, Check It, Bob Long, ANS, Centerflag, & they work just like other high end adjustable regulators on the market.

Easy to operate externally adjustable output pressure. Screws into a vertical ASA and
has one 1/8' NPT input for a hose. Designed for low pressure operation. High flow multi-porting for maximum flow rate. Piston relief vent
hole ensures fast recharge without lag during rapid fire.
Operating pressures from 0-800psi."

But... It arrived yesterday, and I finally aired it up today. It can't seem to provide enough pressure to recock the marker, and I can't seem to get it to adjust the pressure up.

Is anyone familiar with this reg? The tippmann site has no information. I guess I will be making phone calls on Monday morning.

Here's what it looks like:

Anyone?

I've never bought a reg from Tippmann... for a reason. From what I've heard, they are notoriously bad regulators

She told me we couldn't afford beer anymore and that I'd have to quit drinking. Then I caught her spending $65 on makeup. I asked how come I had to give up stuff and she didn't. She said she needed the makeup to look pretty for me. I told her that was what the beer was for. I don't think she's coming back...

"Designed for low pressure operation."

Uh, it doesn't say "for high pressure".

I have a feeling that they're supposed to be used in conjunction with the Tippman LP kits.

Yeah, I'll admit that I am a tard. A fool and his money are soon parted.

In my (incredibly feeble) defense, the item description had in big letters "0-800PSI".

Oh well... off to the palmer's website to buy a reg I know will work.

This is the reg you need! Dont buy another one.

... Though it does look like a PMI reg. I had one and it was crap. This will work for what you want.

Most tippman accessories are re-worked versions of bad products.. or just lapco stuff.

Ya gotta be able to read between the lines.

"This Tippmann HiPower Inline Vertical Adjustable Regulator works for WGP, WDP, AKA, DYE, ANS, Air America, Check It, Bob Long, ANS, Centerflag, & they work just like other high end adjustable regulators on the market."

Yes, they all have pistons, springs and a valve to control the airflow. But it's the sizes of the parts that controls how they interact and how well it will flow the volume needed and how well it regulates the pressure.

I wish it were so, but for the life of me, I can't get this thing to give enough output to re-cock my F4. My input is 750psi HPA.
