Question Ok... so which reg should I have gotten?

Since I don't know anything about regs (having now bought two on eBay that turned out to be non-functional) I turn to you, the paintball experts.

Other than the palmer's stabilizer, what regulators for high pressure markers would you recommend?

Most regs these days seem to be made for low pressure electros, and I'm having trouble distinguishing between them reading the descriptions on eBay or the online stores.

I use a Stabilizer when needed for HP (over 600psi) requirements. If I don't need that high, I use a Centerflag, the stock WGP or Ergo regs, the ANS GenX2, or the AA Messiah.

The problem with buying used regs, is you don't know what condition they will arrive in. Fifty percent of the regs I've bought used needed a rebuild, a few were out and out trashed, and the rest were in great shape.

Good luck,

Walker

the aka sidewinder will pretty much cover it from 0-900 psi... light weight, reliable, highflow, consistance, and easy to adjust. what else could you ask for??
enjoy,
Kmac

The Macdev Gladiator is my favorite after the Stabilizer.

I use a CP reg and a System X reg for pressures between 0-400 (or, something).

I have a Palmer Fatty Stab. I'd be willing to sell. If you're interested, PM me.

I have a male Stabilizer for sale...

What's wrong with the ones you bought? (aside from "they don't work")

It doesn't seem to produce enough enough output pressure to re-cock the marker (F4 illustrator).

Anything coming from the vent hole near the bottom of the Stabilizer? Odd noises?

Have you disassembled it?

No, I think it is a "tippmann techline" which is a LP regulator and has a max output of ~500psi by design.

I was able to take it apart pretty easily, and nothing looked dirty or broken. No weird sounds or leaks, just not enough output pressure. Also, I couldn't seem to get the pressure to increase by turning the adjustmet nut. I don't have an gauge, so I don't know what the actual psi is.
