Info on Rare Raptor wanted

About 6 months ago I picked up a VERY abused Raptor body on eBay. After having the entire ASA replaced (it was stripped out, THANKS Mr. David!) i've gotten the marker going again, and it's now my favorite Raptor.

However I have been unable to find ANY information on this version of the Raptor. The camo is not anno, but some form of polymer coating several layers deep. It was applied at the factory, as the factory markings are put on through the coating. It uses a green Raptor body under all of the coating, and came out after the 'round ASA' Raptors, but before the 'second gen'

Can anybody provide ANY information??

Did you try beog.org? Or Drop K2 an email. Also, might want to contact Dave Brisco(Dangerous toys on forum) on the beog. I know some stingrays were put out in that configurations as well. Hope this helps.

no luck on BEOG, and i've never gotten anything but polite auto-reply from Brass eagle or K2 regarding questions on Raptors that weren't 'it's broke' type.

They made Rays like that too? Never saw one. I've only ever seen one other Raptor like it either (also on eBay)

So, can anybody else shed some light on this body?

Plus its a single-trigger, powerfed raptor. That would place it around 98-99?

Aslan on PBNation also has one with the same specs (single-trigger, powerfeed), but that one was definetly painted.

These Raptors were a special edition sold thru Cabela's and such around 1999ish.

I distinctly remember Sportsman's Guide clearing them out shortly thereafter.

I have the full Cabelas "bible" from 1999 somewhere. I'll dig it out tonight to see if I can find it.
