I.D. This body

Sounds kinda CSI...

No one seems to know what kind of body this is. I'm thinking it's a STO, but I'm probably wrong...

Ive seen it, just dont know the name, its something from a real company and not a hand done job, so i guess it has some value..not like it would have in its prime, but some.

Id throw out the name shocktech, but im really just guessing.

TASO, ANS or Carter inspired TASO.
It is almost identical to Russc's TASO.

This is per a previous thread that I started.

Who made this 'Cocker body?

Does it have an IVG?

Yes it has a post '97 threaded IVG. The guy I bought it from labeled it as a '98. So what would you guys say - Carter or Taso?

I have never heard any confirmation of Carter's involvement with TASO. Someone should email the shop and ask.

More likely, its just a case of design theft. The TASO bodies have the same slots, and "gills". The main difference is the Carter siterail has more flutes.

Most of the "Carter Cockers" i've seen were actually mass produced Taso bodies. But its possible that the TASO designed was a "licensed" copy, kinda like the Brass Eagle "jacko-ish" barrels.

TASO (which stands for The Adventure Supplier and Outfitter in case you didn't know) copied a lot of ideas from other companies. Granted they did come up with a lot of their own stuff but they 'borrowed' their fair share too. From what I've seen their stuff was always good quality though.
