About them wedgits...

How exactly are they made? And are they exclusive to brass barrels?

PPS wedgits are made by pressing a small rectangular tool into the outside surface of the barrel which, in turn, makes slight bumps inside the barrel just in front of the bore.

The idea is that is centers a smaller ball and gives it a little resistance at the beginning of it's quick trip down the barrel.

As far as I know, PPS can add these to most different types of barrel materials, but call them and ask. (916) 923-9676

I'm looking at picking up the new Sterling, but I don't want to buy a whole barrel kit. I'm assuming they can do aluminum. Anybody know about a SS Boomstick?

Hey drum, I had a question:

Did you need to look up the Phone number, or do you have it memorized?

I think Drum has a special red phone in a glass case. When the phone rings, he knows it's Sacramento.

I guess I should be embarrassed to admit that I know the number by heart, but I am not. Incorrigibilty is one of my most refined attributes.

Lori and Marcie both know my voice and I sometimes call folks there from my cell when I am cooling my heels in court or stuck in traffic and the like.

One day I may even visit Sacramento... aka Palmer Mecca.
And yes, I always know in which direction to align my prayer rug... due West!

I got one more question. Let's say I have a .689 bore, how small of paintballs would a set of wedgits in that sized barrel hold? Also, has anybody had trouble with brittle paint breaking?

There is POSSIBLE trouble of brittle paint breaking, but not really with a pumper. If there was some really large bore and really brittle paint, you might run into a problem.

Its hard to say how small of a ball will not roll out of a wedgited .689 but its safe to say it will be fairly universal.

They cant do phantom barrels due to their oddball threads but most other barrels are wedgitable.

I think its a 100 percent good upgrade

My main concern is that a bunch of the damn paint manufacturers are making really small paint now. Of course thier not all doing it, so there's a large array of sizes I could be shooting. Some of the recent paint I've got has been around .680-684, which is agravating with pump/closedbolt markers, especially when most barrels arn't made for that size. I'll have to call up Palmers sometime next week and ask.
