Rainmaker Thunderboard LCD

So, uh, yeah. I just impulse bought a Rainmaker with a Thunderboard LCD for $100 shipped. It needs an electrical harness and some wiring/pneu-tubing, but I love to tinker!

So, my question is this: What are the over-all value on these boards, and how would you compare it to the other RM boards (Gale Force, Painmaker, TLALOC, and stock semi/SF)? Thanks for the help.

They were considered the best board availible. Later versions had tons of modes, and adjustments. Plus, can't go wrong with a huge LCD screen.

On the webside for the Thunderboard, there was a GREAT comparison of all the Rainmaker boards, showing the exact specs side-by-side.

Thunderboard was one of the better boards for the rainmaker. Value is all depending if you find someone that wants it more then you..

I maybe getting the code for them and ruffly 130 boards that need to be assembled. Just going to be fun to get all the parts for them. The lcd screens for them aren't cheap

I'd take a thunder over any other rainmaker board. Atleast they can cycle at what the board says. Not like some of the other boards.

stock rm board Advertised at 14bps Actauly do's 9bps
Gale force Says 12.3 pbs Max 10.5 bps

Tlaloc 29bps max

PAinmaker 18bps max

I have a Thunderboard LCD in one of my RM's, and as mentioned above, it's very easy to set and program. It has 2 buttons. I hate having to program a board using trigger pulls. I previously had a Painmaker board and I could never get the damn thing to work right.

So, I saw the Thunderboard is advertised to be capped at 16. While this is in no means bad, what makes it superior to a TLALOC? If I'm not mistaken, the Thunder and TLALOC were both made by Vexa Control.

Does the Thunder have more features than the TLALOC, or is it the screen?

I've only had experience with the stock SF board and Painmaker board, so I don't know much about Vexa's gear...

I thought my Thunderboard could do 18bps? Mayber later versions had higher caps? Rainman has the board now, and he probobly knows more then anyone.

well the board max bps setting is 16 buit with the trigger sencitivy set at zero it will do more like 19pbs in semi only. at least that what my comparison sheets say. that were taking off his sit that compares all the rainmaker boards

99 semi board 9.89

99 s/f board max 8.5bps

galeforce max 9.8bps

gemini board 22

thunder 18.89 thats with the dwel at 40ms and senc at 0

tlaloc is set basicly the same as thunder. but has some flaws in the coding i never liked.
