What kind of gauge are you using to check this pressure ? Paintball gauges tend to be dubious in accuracy at best. It may be recharging faster than you think and the gauge is just not recovering as fast. The only way to check would be to fire over a chrono and see if consecutive shots are at lower velocities.

Now that you mention it the gauge does have a rather small pinhole in it. It's Free Flow guage that I got because it has a nice full 1/2 circle for the 0-600 psi. I got a few on sale because of the nice wide graduations.

It registers the drops in pressure fast enough and the climb back up is far slower. So I'd have to think that it's still the reg dropping off on each shot.

The final test would be the chrono of course but I'm a little surprised that they can't make a reg that flows fast enough to recover faster.

Or maybe I shouldn't be so surprised. The Ergo style I have was replaced quite a while ago. So there may be a message there.

Well, the Ergo is quite similar to all of WGP's regs. I'm pretty sure that even their new electro-guns come with something derived from the same basic reg as the Ergo. As far as I know, the only difference is in external milling.

If that's the case then perhaps it's just plain not happy at less than 400'ish psi. If so then I'll need to find something else for this one.
