Early Model 007 question

Hey, so the 007 I purchased from Brinstar appears to be a very very very old model (we're talking pre-1980's here) The magazine tube doesn't have any holes in it for the pellet-stop (ball stop). The guys at Nelson are stumped on this one as no-one there is an old-timer. It appears that there was something applied to the bore of the magazine tube on each side with an adhesive of some sort. There is still a residue on the inside of the magazine tube from whatever it was.

Anyone have any experience with this or know how to fashion a ball-stop that is as close to the vintage one as possible?

My 007 had round circles like that all the way down the magazine. I assumed someone had left paintballs in it for a while and they had somehow "dried" onto it. I'd like to see some pictures of the whole marker if you have any.

Here's the one that Brinstar took for me when he offered it up for sale:

Here's one of the receiver's front end:

Rear End:

I'll get more up as I work on it.

Thats a 1982ish forestry model. That is if and only if it has th "pin" style co2 seal and not the "cup style" . Ohterwise its most likely a parts gun. (oh and BTW there are people still at nelson who worked there way back when ) As for the stuff inside the barrel, probly paint. On the ball stop, get one of the old 10 round tube caps, the kind that fits inside the tube rather than over it and push it down the magazine. Functional and period correct sulution
