ignorant brass question

I read quite often that people want brass parts for guns. Is it a novelty item or a secret mcb fanatic trademark or some secret cult symbol. I bet you all go through a ton of brasso. I did on my rotc belt buckle...

Usually when folks talk about "brass", they are reffering to Sheridan pumps, which are made from brass tubing, or there more elite cousins, the Palmer's customs.

Don't listen to Chappy. He's just making that up.

I'd tell you about the secret brotherhood and the handsign but then we'd have to kill you....

brass bodies look cool. and stuff like brass hammers (with stainless steel striking surface) for for the extra weight and low friction. It a traditional thing, like why are a lot of wgp valve bodies brass and pneumatics brass? its not the cheapest material around.

I'd wager mostly low friction.

I believe brass parts just look really nice on markers...people who use the parts however, probably have their own specific reasons for using the brass parts though...
A brass pump marker is just to me though...
