So just what are we including in these weights? Body only? Barrel? Bottom line and ASA?

I can't believe we're 3 pages into this thread, and no one's mentioned the Sidekick Semi...

I don't know the exact weight, but I'm fairly certain it's under a pound.

I know that Shane-O had a mag that was REALLY light. Though it was not stock, it was still pretty remarkable what could be done to lighten it.

I was laways partial to something with a little heft. Carrying around a fully loaded VM-magnum makes one strong pretty quick.

A typical ULE Mag is around 2.5 pounds or less and that includes a lighter weight barrel, forgrip, and ASA (no tank or loader). I would have to say you could definately get it lighter (2lbs or less) using RPG products like a body, rail, frame, and a Carbon Fiber barrel.

I'll have to weigh my Tagmaster. I'll bet that one is well under two pounds.

WARPIG did an article a while back on making the ultimate ULE Mag.

It came in at 1.73 pounds with a J&J Ceramic barrel, ASA and fittings.
