mystery VM barrel
Picked this up in my local Pawnshop for $10 today. I knew it was VM threaded, but not what kind of barrel. The seperate piece was TAPED onto the barrel, but the barrel does go at least 1/2 inch into the tip.

King of the OFG
That muzzle brake looks like a homebrew to me...
I seem to remember dimmly in my ancient history hearing about 1 inch barrels with a 7/8ths tip so you only had to buy one size of "rain cover". Can anyone back me up on that? If so I'd lay odds on the barrel itself being one of those.
Of course I'm old and failable, so that may be sheerest alcohol fueled fantasy.

the muzzlebreak has been 'modified' by inserting a drill into the vent holes ant tilting it to get the slanted port look. There is still a little anno inside the holes tho. The break is designed to fit on a 7/8" barrel and will only fit 1/2" down before the ID changes.
one person speculated it may be a clamping barrel with the tip threaded for a VM, and the 'narrower' part is where it would normally clamp in the marker.
