I have seen them used and shoot at working velocities(280ish). However the shafts on the piston are made of aluminum and have a tendency to break. I remember seeing a big thread on people trying to fix them a while back(no idea what forum).
The first time I saw one was at OK D-Day a couple of years ago. They had a 3 man speedball tourney with them. Hilarious. People gave up trying to shoot the other team at range and resorted to barrel tags and bunker runs.

before the bands on my wristrocket stretched out, I could get about 175fps consistently. and I have 1 elimination with it. It has since been retired. Works for the close up and personal stuff but thats about it.
