Not good. Think of the fps that your average paintball goes at. Now think about trying to propel a paintball that speed, using your breath. It works great for darts, because darts are a lot lighter, but you need lungs of steel to get a break with a paintball.

Years ago I saw a guy play with a blowgun for a couple games. It did not go well for him. He spent most of the time running for his life, right before he got "murdered".

Yeah man, blow gun is a no go plus you'll have to cut a hole in your mask for it so i dont think that would be allowed...

Anyway, I have seen the bow and ball (bow and arrow) gun thing...it was silly and crappy. Funny story actually... I was playing in the woods with about 15 vs 15, I made it all the way to the other teams starting point because they took the main trail and I didnt.. I was walking around slowly in their base and i hear "ThhhhhhUmp"! Next thing I hear is "oh ****"! and I see the guy hop up and book *** through the brush like a deer, he didnt get far before I stitched his back up pretty good. After the game i asked him to chrono because i was curious, his max was 120fps... I dont even think the cheap paint would break if he did hit anyone. Needless to say, after that game he switched back to his ION.

yes equally crap! its 1987 now

honestly all this has been done before and chucked on the pile of broken ideas, blow guns where actually comercially sold for PB in the 80's, we tried sling shots but they would actually make as much noise as a maker with the surgical tubing slapping your arm/tree/gogs, you only have 1 shot its not silent! and you have to carry it around ecposed to the elements.........stick with markers!

HAHA I found a paintball blowgun in a box of stuff I bought off a guy, it came with its own paint that looked even smaller than .50!

Never did try it though.

When we were bored enough in the 80s, we would play "barrel ball", which meant you could only use your barrel, and blow out the paintballs.

Problems were obvious- It was hard to get about 150fps. So we all aimed for the goggles. This worked out since you had to face someone to shoot at them, but you also left yourself exposed....

The local field did ban slingshots back then though. The larger slingshots could well exceed 300fps with no way to controlling safety.
