Adding a new regulator

Could I put a 4500 reg on a 3000 rated bottle as long as I only fill with 3000psi?

Thanks.

Yup, make sure your the only one filling it, and verbally tell the fill person that its 3000psi.

I'd put a label over the 4500 on the reg that says 3000 just in case. Cheap insurance

You'll want to change the burst disc on the HP side to the 4500 or 5000 typically used on 3K bottles at the same time. I think my 4500 has a 7.5K burst. Leaving that on a 3K tank would be nasty.
