Ariakon Overlord air fittings

Ok, i got my hands on a loaner overlord from the field guy, and we wanted to set it up for constant air, just for giggles, but i ran into a hitch... the threads on the underside, roughly where the CO2 neck sits, is not 1/8 NPT... I am lead to believe that it is metric... and if it is, does anyone know if i can pick up an adapter from a hardware store? (note, my hardware stores are not very well stocked)

Gotta use a 12 gram adaptor for it.

What do you mean, as in a dummy?
It isnt a dropout, so that direction wouldnt work...
I was just hoping to route air to the hole in the bottom.

But, the 12gram chamber won't seal on its own. Ariakon should sell an instert sthat seals the chamber just in front of the threaded hole you speak of. As far as the threading for that, I don't know what it is. But if you were to buy the insert for the chamber it should come with hose and bottom line. You might be able to avoid buying the kit, but you'd have to figure how to seal the chamber first.

Also, last myu buddy checked, they didn't yet offer a bottom line setup like the one I'm describing for the ACP, so I don't know if they have one for the overlord.

Hope my rambling helps:hammer:

Probably could just drill and tap a spent 12 gram for a dummy- just mark your spot on when it's in the chamber. As for the adapter- a spyder adapter should work- my local pb shop carries them for about $8 or you can get one from www.countypb.com

I wouldnt recomend this as it is dangerous. You'd probably get away with it since its a totally eclosed chamber, but I wouldnt recommend it. The rest of the idea is sound drilling a hole in the camber body to line up with a 12 gram dummy's port would be easy enuff

you need to weld a piece of threaded tube on the 12 gram dummy or else it wont seal and possibly fly off

Drilling a tapping a CO2 fw/ a air fitting isnt allthat hard, or dangerous. Back in the late 80's these were all the rage on back bottle/back 12 gram guns. I made a few of them.

The trick is you need a drill press and the proper tap screw to get it right. You cannot hand hold the drill or the CO2 tight enough to make it.

Find one (as listed above) or go to a local machine shop.
