Dynaflow and tank questions.

I just acquired a Centerflag Dynaflow reg with a tank. I really want to use this on my mag.

The tank is obviously out of hydro, it's in good shape but there are a couple tool marks around the neck (see pic). Would this make it fail hydro testing? Should I even bother with this tank or just look for a newer one?

The Dynaflow may need rebuilding. I see o-ring monkey has kits but I also see there was no manual for it. Any tips? Not sure how the whole on/off thing works.

Thanks.

If you go for the new tank route I can get you the special Ninja reg for x-valve use. Warning you need a decent paint budget after purchase :P

I never did hydro so far so cannot help you on this tank

I don't have an x-valve (not yet at least) so I don't have to use this. My current ninja tank outputs 900 so it's plenty. I just want to since it belongs on a mag and not attached to a dead tank

I just received this picture I'll post here for anyone's future reference. I guess I got my rebuild problems taken care of. Anyone got any idea about the tool marks on the tank and whether that will effect hydro?

Tank should pass hydro, I have had marks like that and they didn't effect the hydro test. If fibers aren't unraveling and poking out you should be fine.

Based on the pictures this tank will have no problem passing hydro

yea by the looks of the tank it will pass. they hydro tester should tell you prior to taking your tank in if they fore see a problem.
