Stabilizer Recharge

Just got my Stab in the mail and I put it on my S6. I set it on 300psi and went and tried to play. The recharge rate was so slow I had to wait at least 5 seconds between each shot for them to be half decent. I have the adjustment screw basically flush with the bottom of the reg body. Any ideas on how to fix this? Is the wrong spring in the reg?

Did the last guy reassemble the regulator the right way? A lot of people place the tophat back in the wrong way and the whole reg acts all weird. Do some cleaning and double check on it.

i think he meant the palmers stablizer not the ccm regulator. here is Palmer's take apart and put back together video. maybe it needs to be lubed.

YouTube - ‪Stab Rebuild‬‏

this seems to be a better video.

Ahh whoops, I completely glazed over it.

You shouldn't have really any issues with stabilizers, probably just needs lube since they're really simple in operation.

For stabilizers, flush with the body doesn't equate to 300psi, it's 500psi for stabs, 300 for the CCM stock reg. So either the gauge is reading it wrong, you have a low pressure kit in it, or the thing just needs a rebuild.

What type of regulator did you get?

Low pressure 0 - 400 PSi
Standard 0- 700 Psi
High 0-900 PSI

Even as they may go from 0 to 900, the recharge rate on each one is different, if you take it apart as the video shows, see what type of piston in in there, also looking at the spring alone is not an indicative of what pressure it is, best thing is to give it a good clean up, lube it, install a gauge and go from there.

Hope it helps.

Gabe

If this is the one I sold you Chubs, then you can rest assured that its put together right, its a standard range stab, and its cleaned and lubed. It was creeping on me, so I put a new seal on the small brass piston. This stopped the creeping, and the reg functioned perfectly at about 650 psi on HPA. The only reason I sold it was because the gun it was on wouldn't get above 260fps, so I ditched the reg and ran straight air. I'm disappointed to hear that you're having issues with it. I never had recharge issues with it. Then again, I never ran it below 600psi, though I'm not sure why that would make a difference...
I'll keep an eye on this thread, hopefully someone can help figure this out.

Gotta wait until I get my socket set back to completely take it apart. I'll let y'all know when I get it apart.

1) Take a shower with it. (No, I'm not kidding. I just took a shower with my Blazer and I was surprised at all the dirt, paint, hay, and gunk that came out of it.)
2) Take it apart when you can
3) Do as senghing said and soak that baby in oil
4) Clean off the oil on the outside so it won't be as slippery as a space dildo
5) Adjust
6) Mow fools

I feel a shower is overkill.
Taking a marker, yeah I've done that...
Lefthanded, hay is something I would be worried about, it should not be in your blazer

A reg? A simple take apart and drown it in oil will suffice.
