Palmer Question

I recently came across a few Palmers (pictures will be posted below) and I was wondering if I could get some information on their specs, what they are worth, etc. I used to be heavily into the gun industry and the few guns I knew nothing about were Palmers. I appreciate any help I can get.

Looks like a Typhoon. If it's fully functional, with no leaks, you might be able to get around $350, plus or minus $50 depending on finding the right buyer at the right time. If it's as-is or known to be leaking, it could be as low as $250-275.

If it is a Sheridan, would that affect the price at all? And where would I be able to find the right buyer at?

the right buyer is likely here, try a search of 'stroker' in the b/s/t threads for ideas of sales

What is the serial number on the sight rail?

If you give Palmers a call and give them the serial number, they'll be able to tell you the history of the gun.

I'm not so much interested in the history because I'm not looking to keep them. But the serial number is P 815 on one and P 879 on the other.

Its a stroker.

If it leaks $125-150 maybe, if not then $200-300 depending on the options and buyer. These are very tricky to fix.

Does it have little divets on the barrel in front of the feedneck(wedgits)? Do you have the stabilizers for them? How is the finish, is it pitted?

I only have what is on the guns, no extra parts. What exactly is a pitted finish? It feels like a mix between matte and gloss. And I couldn't tell you what divets I am supposed to be looking for. Man, I was a gun tech and right about now I feel pretty dumb.

Pitted, as in not uniform nickel an damaged.

On later guns and barrels Palmer would put small dents in the barrel to prevent roll-outs. These are closed bolt like an autococker, but the barrel is relatively large bore(0.688-0.693ish) so there can be an issue playing with them now.
