The sleeper...

So I was told that I am intimidating when I play walk on paintball. The "regulars" look at me as challenging their environment, and the "kiddies" all want to see my fancy new toys. It alters the way people react to me and sometimes I just want to relax and play paintball.

I have decided that I am going to put together a new "walk-on" kit.

Camo pants, my old Proteus mask and a spyder with a vl or revvy hopper.

However...

I want a relatively modern spyder electra (09+) or pilot w/eyes that if asked I can say I got from a friend. I am used to high end markers no matter what format I play so I guess "any old spyder" won't do.. I want to make a sleeper that can rival something more expensive.

My question for this forum is...

What can I do to a spyder to make it more effective?

I know they make spyder aftermarket parts, but are any really effective?

Has anyone else ever tried an undertaking like this?

***note*** :: I do not like the rocking trigger, I know this is the most common upgrade, but I do not like it at all.

I have no useful imput about spyder markers though.

A valve made for really low pressure would be a good start i think.

You're assuming a Spyder isn't effective here. I haven't looked into it in a while, but didn't the VS series have a reg that dropped the pressure down into the 300-400 range? Lower pressure, lower cycling mass, lower recoil. The Pilot with eyes looks to just have an expansion chamber, but didn't look like it kicked all that much.

If this kid can hold it steady (and is pretty decent on the trigger too) anyone should be able to:

Do you need an e-gun to "just play paintball" because there are high ends that don't take a battery too.

My pilot with a t board and 50 gm switch could outshoot my halo. Some other upgrades too.

i use a mag with a mag as my "sleeper" gun. plain black ULE body, classic valve, hyperframe. small, quick, level 10 keeps it from chopping, but it's fairly nondescript and obscure so its not a huge head turner.
