| Resident Marker Monger | Vector air source question I've recently picked up a Vector (thanks Latoolman, I love it) and I was curious what the best air source would be. I chronoed it with the velocity screw all the way out and it went like this. HPA= 250 fps average Co2= 315 fps average Liquid= 370 fps average Probably regular Co2 would be my best bet, but I was wondering if it was supposed to work well on Liquid Co2 or is this a no-no.

| Supernatural Anaesthetist | Being somewhat inefficient (that's the understatement of the year), regulated CO2 will provide the best combination of performance and utility. Any good CO2-friendly reg will work, but PPS Stabilizers are probably the most commonly-used on Vectors. Back when I had my Vec, a female Stab & 20 oz. anti-siphon tank made for perfect balance and usually got me around 600 shots before needing a refill (a bit more in warm weather, a bit less in cooler temps). |

I have torture tested Vectors by screwing an overfilled 20oz tank directly into the asa and firing the gun straight down until it was too freezing cold to hold even with gloves and the Vector will keep shooting snow until you stop pulling the trigger. It looks like your Vector likes CO2 and that is typical. Regulators are nice to enable external velocity adjustment. One a nice summer day, even a gas-hog Vector will let you play all day with a 20 or 24oz tank screwed into the stock. You will go partially deaf before you run out of gas. D.
