A/C barrel kit..J&J Elite, '07 Scepter or Revolver

Hey all,
I'm in the process of switching markers and need to buy a new kit with Autococker threads. I am currently shooting Redz Pepper Stickz and love them but the lack of a bore size smaller than .687 is causing me some troubleble because I've always shot with a tight paint/barrel match with great results and the cheap paint at the field is .684 to .686 commonly.

I'm still considering another Redz kit but I'm also looking at the Empire Revolver, the Powelyte Scepter and the J&J Edge Elite kits.

I like the J&J Elite because it's a simple two piece barrel with no inserts. Any idea of the back section's bore length?

I liked the old Scepters because the inserts were really long but the 2K7 versions seem awfully short(I heard something about an SP lawsuit??). Any idea of the inserts' length?

The Revolver kit looks almost the same as the Scepter but I'm not sure if you can get the fronts/backs in dust black which I was hoping for. Again, any idea of the inserts' length?

I guess what I would like to know is what everyone thinks of those 3 barrel kits and if any one offers performance advantages such as better efficiency or lower operating pressures over the other. When using the Pepper Stickz I was able to decrease my Shocker's pressure by about 10% to 15% over the stock barrel of the same bore size mostly due to the longer control bore section I believe.

Sorry for the long read but I appreciate the help

Actually, I'd get a DeadlyWind Fibur (Carbon Fiber) barrel, 14" AC threaded, they take Freak inserts. I love the look on all my AC threaded markers! Check out the pics link in my signature line, you'll see it on my AKA Excal, click on that picture to link to more.

I'll have to look into the DW....Does it shoot better than the Freak? I shot a Freak on a lot of different markers and never felt like it was shooting as well as some of my other barrels....

There is a barrel test on pbnation:

---- Paintball Barrel test ---- Let me know what you think. V1 - PbNation

Paintball Barrel Test - PbNation

Results are approximately 2 weeks away!

I asked these questions a while back and received a wide array of responses:
Which Barrel Kit For a Sniper II Pump?

I am in the same boat as you, I am leaning toward either a Scepter or a Sanchez Machine. I am avoiding Smartparts!

I currently have a Dye UL .684 & a Dye TI Boomstick .688 and a Bob Long689. I have had roll outs on my Dye .684 back. If you use Marbs they are a little bigger! Most of my local stores only carry the cheap stuff, last time I shot Rainbow and it was pretty good, especially considering the price! Avoid all JT paint!

Good Luck!

I have heard that Scepter and Revolver are the same, except Scepter is a little easier on the wallet!
