| Seasoned Member | 20mm fans work great for mounting on top of the goggles, underneath the visor. Fits on most JT's and VForces. Just my luck though that the other day when I go into Radio Shack, they no longer carry the 20mm's. ![]()

| Sunstar Paramedics Slave | My buddy made one from a small computer fan. I'll see if he still has this plans on it.

| MCB Member | I've made some...one for a JT mask, with 2x 25mm fans and a speed control. I was using this mask to day at a 60% duty cycle and it was still working great after a year. I also mounted 2x 20mm fans into a VForce mask as well. I've made instruction threads for both. I hate to toot my own horn, but the whole zip tied computer fan and 9v hack jobs are for the birds. I haven't seen a decent homemade solution ever, and the factory ones are pretty poor too. I hope you can take something away from my humble working prototypes... Here are links to both tutorials; JT Mask fan with speed control V-Force mask fans

| MCB Member | Not all muffin fans are 12 volt. I should have mentioned in my tutorials that the fans I used were 5 volts each. I thought it would be obvious but I suppose it isn't.

Fortunetly, I discovered that the local ski/surf shop carried "turbo fans", which were special fans designed for ski goggles that fit perfectly on top of the mask, and ran on 2 AAA batteries. Just happened to fit perfectly on my Whipper Snappers as well. Here are some ski goggles WITH the fan: ![]()

| MCB Member | Which ski shop carries them? I've tried a few local ones, and I've called the manufacturer (Smith Optics) and they all say the fan isn't available by itself. I'd love to get one to experiment on.
