There is a link in the"my Ebay" section for the "Dispute Console". Follow the links there for "Report an Item Not Received or Not as Described" and initiate a claim. The seller agreed to sell at the price at the time of the auction closing, just as your bid is a de facto agreement to pay that amount at the same time. It is no less valid because he didn't get what he wanted for it. For him to refuse now is in violation of e-bay policies. good luck |

Take the high road and do not be threatening, harrassing or insulting in your contact with the seller. Tell him you're going to report the fact that he would not honor the contract to ebay's administration. The way I look at it is that if you won the item and refused to pay because it was too much, he would report you to get his money or have you punished somehow. The other option is to just walk away to avoid a negative feedback point. I've had to do this on several occasions because I value my 100% positive feedback and felt that it was better in the long run to let someone off the hook than to pursue it and have bogus negative feedback posted against me. Even though I went through the non-paying bidder process for my fees I just contacted the person and told them to go through the motions with ebay so I could get my fees back and then just walk away. If they didn't post negative, neither would I. It's so hard to keep 100% that sometimes you have to swallow your pride and let something go even though you got the shaft. Even if it's blatantly false feedback and you respond to it, the negative mark stays with you forever and many people don't care how you got it, they just care that it's there. Just be careful and don't let emotions cloud your decisions.

| MCB Member Join Date: Jun 2007 | When leaving bad feedback (not personal experiance, but have seen) the buyer or seller can respond to it, and in further steps the negative feedback score is removed but the feedback and responce is still there. Does this make any sense . |
