here's where you buy it. Welcome to Lauer Custom Weaponry

i've never clear coated anything but i've used Duracoat before and it's easy to do and i don't see why it wouldn't work on bare brass. i would use Duracoat before anything else personally.

I'll definitely pick some up, then I just really didn't want to have to get an airbrush, but it looks like I'm going to have to.

I have a really cool finish idea for my KP, if it turns out even remotely cool I'll pass it on, but if it sucks expect me to never speak of it again....

instead of an airbrush, i'd try to get one of these. Welcome to Lauer Custom Weaponry

i'm sure you find one cheaper somewhere else, but this will give you an idea.

Sounds like a good idea, it should be a lot more durable that lacquering the bare brass. Let us know how it works out.

if you give the open polished bras a couple coats of car wax and a new coat after each game the brass will never oxidize.

it will save you the effort of the spray coatings.

i have brass parts i made in high school back in 1982, that i waxed back then and they still shine today with no additional treatment.

LK-13 i saw your info on keeping it shiney, and if I were only going to polish it, I would just use wax, but I have something "special" in mind and I need the surface well covered, as it won't take to well to a re-polish, without an entire re-do of the whole thing.
