KPMI value?

Hey guys,

I'm not really looking to get rid of it, but I'm curious as to what the value is on this piece of custom brass. Can anyone tell me?

My Bolt Action KPMI!

Thanks!

I'd be interested to know this also as I have one that is very close to completion.

I have seen them listed for 250-300 don't know what they have sold for but that is what they were listed at, add to it that kp's are going for last lately and who knows, the bolt action throws it off also........so is it a kmi?

I think the value of a KPMI is understated too often.

If I wanted a pirate for instance (and I often do) a KPMI is IMO the better option over a KP. They are often more efficient, and they are more compact.

Where value begins to leave IMO is the trigger group, and the feed-tube. Side-tubing looks nicer, and adds value. The $25 sheridan trigger group that is popular these daysobviously is worth less than a nice original RVA tapped group, or something equivalent.

Stilgar has a KPMI pirate up right now at $375 and I think that is perfectly fair.

If you look at it in terms of the value of the individual parts you are doing it wrong. If I did that with a PPS houndstooth for instance I could say: Oh, a bunch of brass tubes, and a valve...yay...$70...

A nicely done KPMI should rival a KP in terms of price. That being said DIY'ers are doing more and more here, so the value is reflecting that. I have seen some pretty awful KPMIs, and some really nice ones...

I like this one I did:

Modern bluestreak group - cheap right? But she is a nice shooter, with a nice stock and IMO should fetch money accordingly, moreover than the cost of the parts.

Bringing this back from the dead. I've been out of the game for a while due to finances, school, and life in general. What would this go for nowadays?

I sold mine in the black friday sales for $100. Unfortunately the market for sheridans is pretty bad right now. With KP's selling under $300 the kpmi's aren't going for as much any more.

So, if you were going to put this up for sale, what would you put it up for?

Yours looks a bit nicer than mine did so I would agree with woouulf and say start it at $250 and see where it goes from there.
