KP for Sale Question

I have several KP rifles I was thinking about putting up for sale. My question is this. One has a bad valve. Am I better off putting it up for sale as is, or having it replaced at Palmers and then selling it. Thanks for your input.

I'd put it up for sale and let the price reflect that it needs a valve. Simple and easy.

Seconded. Most (here, anyway) would either prefer to fix it themselves, or send it to someone they've done business with before. Granted, Palmer's is one of the beter-known places to repair them.

I'd agree. You're going to put more money into by sending it to Palmers that won't return in marked up value. Just because the valve needs new seals, shouldn't impact value significantly.

that kp3 looks to be in great condition! I would love to see the rest of your stash lol.

and I agree with the above posters, the amount of money palmers will charge (combined with how long they will have it) is really not worth it.

After looking at the pictures, I GUARANTEE, you'll get fine money for them just as they are. In that condition, seals are a drop in the bucket. Gorgeous.

hell, a valve tool costs $20 from titus and MaD sells the seals for cheap. depending on how many you have that need to be fixed it might be worth the investment on your part to do it yourself. but as LB says, you will do fine, it could probably be more of a convenience for the buyer kind of thing that may serve to move them faster.
