Angel feedneck tap size

Hi

I have been looking for a tap for Angel feednecks. From the Thread thread on PBN I get .....

angel feednecks ----- M21x0.75

I have contacted 2 local machine tool suppliers locally and they are not able to get this tap. Can anyone confirm this information is correct? Does anyone know where it is available or have one for sale?

Thanks

ahh yea, that sounds right... used it on the first Falcon prototypes, then realized it's a stupid thread and should be avoided. use 7/8-20 like everyone else, to accommodate .250 thread length of the feedneck, it's much better to use than angel threads (****ing metric bull**** doesn't belong in guns anyways, especially crazy sizes like that).

its the same on the old Rats Nest post, though i cant find any industrial supplier that has them available. it's an odd size.

i'd check with ASP if you're set on using that size, i thought that he used to have them for sale at one point but right now they only have the cocker barrel taps on the site.

Like ApoC said though, using a more standard size would be easier.....

or thread mill em on CNC, that's how I did em. using a size you can actually get a tap for is much better though

So does that mean 7/8 - 20 is close enough to still use an Angel feedneck? Or are you saying its the standard for some other manufacturers feed neck?

I agree its a really $%%^&@ thread size :(

CCM uses it, CCI uses it, I'm going to stick to it too.

I have about 30 automags, 1 Gargoyle and 1 Tippmann. I was hoping to use my most common threading for my mods. That would be Angel. I found a 21 x 1.0 would that be close enough for .25 inches of thread?

youre joking right? .75mm pitch to 1.0mm pitch, in inches, is a difference of 10 thou per turn... you would get about one turn in and it would seize.
