I had high hopes for the clock. Finally got it in and it does not read shots. All zeros. Talked to Virtue and they will replace it, all I have to do is send it back. So now to wait until it gets back.

Not entirely true.

The Virtue has a standard camera tripod screw-hole included in the bottom of the 'rail'/trigger guard.

My favorite thing about it- on single shots, it beeps after every shot detected. This is a big plus over most other radars I've seen as it helps confirm that you had two identical FPS shots vice, one detected, and second one undetected (while the chrono shows the first of the two shots).

My negative- I think there must be a minimum BPS for the 'string' recording to begin. I'm not interested in BPS calculations but, I sure wouldn't mind having it tell me my FPS consistency over 15, 1BPS shots.

Local field has one. It's cool, but I prefer my little radarchron because it fits in my pocket.

They do take aa's, but the box for the 4 aa's are attached to a 9 volt battery connector. Was this just a half assed afterthought for the battery or is it compatible with 9 volt batteries?

Reason I ask is because I have a ton of 9 volt batteries and no aa's.

With such low operating pressures and tiny solenoids, why don't they?

You can run a microprocessor and an OLED off a pair of AA batteries for quite a long time. You also don't necessarily need the screen or controls to be onboard components.
