What is the internal dimension of a CCM feedneck clamp ring?

This is what I'm trying to do. I have this great Sniper, the only problem is that the feedneck doesn't clamp. As far as I know it's pressed on and can't be removed (2000?). I'd like to simply mill some slots into it and use an existing clamp. The O.D. of my feedneck is about 1.2"

I guess what I mean to ask is; will a CCM feedneck clamp fit over a 1.2" feedneck?

you can pull them out, turn them down and slide an Ego/Marq/Empire Sniper feedneck onto it

works great

Ohhhhh...thanks, I hadn't thought along those lines. I'm just not that familiar with electros and didn't notice how those feednecks go on. My lathe doesn't have collets but I think I could manage to turn it down.

Are the stock feednecks hard to take out and replace?

easy.

somebody on here or over at custom cockers said they use a gear puller

i use a set of aluminum jaws, clamp it, give it a light twist and pull

depending on how much loctite they used it will take 10seconds or 5minutes! haha

puttin em in is easy too, but you have to make sure you line it up, or ream it out when you are done to make sure its all good

i charge $20+feedneck to do it if ya chicken out

but its easy to do

Sorry for resurrecting a dusty thread...but someone might care...

I couldn't get it out your way, but once I set up the gear puller just right it came out very easily;
