Do you mean the trigger frame itself? If so the frame doesn't come off correctly to fit the 68 special.

What are you looking for Marshall? An automatic 68 special?

Yes, you can swap the trigger from a 60 into a 68 and have a full auto smg68 or 68special. Just the trigger itself is the only part you need to swap. If its a full auto special, however, good luck getting reliable feeding without chopping.

There is no need to swap the sear though.

Its a generic slipsear. All you need to do is place a small pin, screw, rock, dowel, bolt, whatever, into the "slot" to prevent the sear from slipping. Make that pin adjustable, and you then have select-fire.

I think Azzy combined the above mod, and a QLoader to try and get the 'Special to fire on F/A. Unlike most blowbacks that cycle around 40cps, the heavy 'Special hammer is closer to 20cps, though I don't remember if it was successfull.

Azzy's was pretty succesful at quick bursts of full auto, iirc.

Well, I guess I should say I know it was successful at short bursts, iirc longer bursts would result in chops and such. But I got to see it shooting short bursts on a back bottle siphon at this years cold -*** game. Quite the spectacle, wish I had some video to share. He ddin't use it very long, though. I think he only had a 7oz and it was leaking.

EDIT: Azzy's special also had the anti-chop sleeve installed. I'm sure this would be a prerequistie to use a q-loader.

Sorry for the necropost, but I just swapped an smg 60 sear into a mint 68 special and it works very well with the rubber band over the feed port. I slapped a cheap VL eye-force on it and it held up at what appeared to be 12 or so BPS. The only chop occured as the hopper ran dry, literally as the last ball fed.

Hey Russ,
What does the rubber band over the feed port do? Is the feed port the notch under the hopper retaining screw.

I have a box of random 68 special parts that I need to put together and have a few other questions also.

What is the anti chop sleeve? Is that the brass sleeve that goes in the forward receiver that the bolt rides in?

Does anyone know the size and threads of the screws to hold the forward receiver to the frame?

Thanks guys,
-Dan
