My reg is stuck on my gun....help!

So I have an 03 Prostock and some ****ty *** WGP reg I put on it. Well it did the same thing to my friends Trilogy. Anyone else have problems with WGP Preset regs getting stuck on their guns? How do I fix it?

Non-marring small strap wrench and some heat [Reasonable] applied to ASA like from a heat gun [on steroids hair dryer]. Clamp body in place, heat up ASA and use strap wrench on the Reg body to loosen.

This Type of strap wrench

The WGP stock regs are adjustable. When you take the NPT fitting off, there is a screw inside you can turn in and out.
To remove it, try wrapping a couple layers of hockey tape around the reg to protect the finish. Hold the reg with vise grips (or a vise, if you have one), and use the body for leverage on the other side.

clean both the male and female threads, and use a bit of grease in there next time to prevent this from happening again.

The thing is...I put grease on it before I put it on. Is it possible that I screwed it in too far and when I aired it up the oring swelled or something?

Unless you used inhuman force, there is no way you screwed it in too far. You only have to screw the reg in hand tight. What do you plan to do with it once its off the marker?

Nothing. I plan on putting my CP reg on it.

If you are gonna s-can the reg anyway then who really gives a rip about the finish. I would put the reg in a vise and use the cocker with barrel in as leverage and heat the asa with a heat gun as mentioned above. Not too much heat obviously. If you want to salvage the reg I would go with heating the asa and using a old bicycle inner tube to wrap a couple of wraps on the reg and get some channel locks and go to town on the inner tube.
