Most of my major problems were fixed by a fresh battery, fixing regulator problems, and ensuring a that the poppit seal hasn't worked itself loose.

I think a mechanical setup is more reliable and more forgiving, but an MQ pump does have the lightest pump stroke.

Agree^ I think a rechargable battery is the only way to go with a mq.
