alpha's cocker freak adapter is a pretty good value. It works with your current barrels.

EDIT:

The Inception Barrel Back

Or get super_staunchy to bore out one of your barrels.

I actually had a little time to ponder this weekend. I already have the ifit for my shocker and use the stock aa barrel with it. 18 inches total, but it shoots great. I'm thinking that maybe using an ifit plus the j&j on my cocker made it shoot a little more consistantly with the 7 or so inches of control bore. using the ifit and overbore barrel on my shocker I still get a +/-3 fps, it dont get much better than that. I guess I thought putting 7 inches of control bore on the shocker wouldn't be a bad thing, but I don't know that it would be an improvement.

Eigenbarrels have a 9" control bore, if that's your benchmark for excellence. I have both sizes and they shoot REALLY well. Very quiet.

For $40 per barrel, they're well worth the money.

Why avoid 2 piece barrels, especially ones with inserts?

If having a perfectly smooth bore for standard paint is ideal than any lip due to an insert or two piece barrel should be avoided if you can
If you have a multitude of guns with different threads all wirh different threads i can understand having a two piece or insert type. Thats why i say avoid if you can. One piece barrels have already been shown to be ideal

Serious question:

Where has this been shown?

Are you referring to this one by them?

https://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?...en&output=html

If so, I would sacrifice that bit of performance for the versatility of a Flasc or Freak kit. I'm in a bit of a special situation because I use a Freak kit for Spyder and 'cocker threads I will admit.

For example, my Kingman Hammer velocity adapter is pretty much dinked. To chrono in, I just start at .675 and work my way up size-wise until I'm just under the field limit.

I'm pretty sure, last I heard, Bryce was using a Freak kit. I imagine that has more to do with the fact that he was Freak boring out barrels there for a bit, though.

I still think alpha's Inception back is just about ideal. You can use your old barrels and use Freak inserts. Combine it with Ty's brass inserts and you have a very potent combo.
