WGP Orracle w/o Stamped breach

I just picked up this body from a local player, after I started to mess with it I noticed that it does not have the W stamped in the breach.

Is this actually a WGP Orracle body or a Dragun Drallion Knock off?

Serial Number (397)

that's a knock off. even with the new body styles, WGP continued the serial numbers, which would put that "Orracle" would be in the 400,000 range, i believe.

that's not entirely true, I just rebuilt a real official naughty dogs Orracle from one of the team guys serial number 032, I believe the feed neck is the dead give away but I'm not entirly sure if it's the tall ones that are fake or it's the short ones, or maybe that's irrelevant

Just did a quick search on CC ( http://customcockers.com/forum/showt...hlight=fake%2A ) to me it looks like a real one.

That is good to hear.

The full bodied Orracles have the higher feednecks, the later mini bodies have the short feedneck.

The milling is the major sign that a body is a knock off, this one seems to be a WGP body but I might be missing something.

Orracles had there own serial numbers that weren't "in line" with the other WGP bodies. I've got Orracle serial number 5446 sitting right beside me. Buddy of mine has something like a #20 Orracle.

Edit: I've never seen an Orracle without the breech stamp, though. Odd.

I have Orracle #2800(Full Body). It is not a fake and it does not have the the W stamped in the breech. IIRC only the newer WGP bodies had that stamped.

There are 2 ways to tell the difference. First the bottom wave ending point. Second the top wave milling.

First, on the real Orracles, the bottom wave will end at the beaver tail screw.
Second, the top tube by the feedneck, there will be 2 different milling depth. The Top most milling lines extend onto the back block and uses a special back block.

The fake ones will have the bottom wave end before the beaver tail screw.
Furthermore, the top tube by the feedneck has only 1 milling depth and the back block does not have the milling lines extended from the body

What you posted should be a real orracle body.

Also IIRC, the reason for the W stamp was because Freeflow decides to stop using WGP blanks and switch over to Taiwanese blanks for the Rythm(why some Freeflow has serial numbers(WGP blanks) and some do not(Taiwanese blanks)) which caused WGP to put the W stamp into their bodies to tell you that are real WGP blanks.

*edit* I don't think FF Lotus ever had a serial number. Read this thread.

Wrong....

WGP made orracles well before the "w" breach stamp.. they were also made with there own serial numbers at first..... Mine is 187, and was bought as a complete gun along with the box, also lacking the "w" stamp.
