SuperStocker has 100 fps spikes

Chrono'd my pirate as this last weekend and the first shot was 369, backed out the RVA all the way out. The next shot was 255 cool 5 over field limit I can get away with that. Next shot 355 wholly moly! It would do this back and forth for a few shots 250~ to 350~. What's the dealio?

Check the springs and make sure nothing is is lodged in the lower tube and that the springs are not kinked? I'd say check the paint for size consistency but 100fps spike is something to do with the valve or reg pressure (if applicable) I would assume.

Make sure all the internals are nice and tight. Then make sure the hammer and springs arnt getting caught up on anything that's would cause spring tension to change between shots.

if its not regs, then it has to be either something kinked with the springs, or possible liquid in the valve.

With that kind of spread, I usually find at least two problems, one of which is that I have adjusted something to compensate for the first problem.

Besides the problems above, I sometimes forget that I'm dealing with a closed bolt gun without a tight barrel bore, especially on a chrony pointed down. Letting the ball roll away from the bolt really messes up the velocity. The effect varies with how far off the bolt the ball rolled into the barrel.

Hmmmmm okay guys if I get a chance tonight I'll take a look at the rear spring and see if its kinky hehe. I don't have a reg on it and I was running a vertical 4oz tank, then I even tried a 12g.

It may be the heat. Try HPA and see what happens.

It did it with a 4oz and 12g. It would go back and forth, one shot 250 the next 350 the next 250 so on and so forth.
