Stiffi barrel question?

I wound up with an a-5 threaded carbon fiber stiffi in a trade. The other end is threaded also. Why?

You most likely have a C-series barrel which had a threaded tip for different muzzle breaks. They did this for the Milsim crowd so they could have a more realistic barrel.

Correct. Note, those C-series barrels were constructed to a different, cheaper spec than other Stiffi barrels. If I recall correctly, the coatings used on both the interior and exterior of the barrel were different.
