Brass Barrel Care Tips

Hey all! I managed to track down a brass barrel for my mokal titan. Being that this will be my first brass barrel, I was wondering if anybody had any tips for cleaning and caring for it. Any help is appreciated.

Mothers mag and aluminum polish is what I use to polish up my brass (flitz is very good also, just costs more) To keep shiney I use car wax while sitting.
Soo... polish it with Mothers after use, car wax it to protect from hand oils.
Also polish interior with mothers and then apply a coat of Rain-X to it- slick as ice...

Yep - I use the original formula for exterior glass.
Smooth as hot butter...

Care of brass really depends on what you want from the brass. If you have a beautiful dark, naturally aged patina finish then you will want to be more careful with how you clean and wax it compared to if you want it bright, shiny and new looking.
