I have noticed that if you want to prevent rollouts, to break paint in your barrel, then leave it in there for a couple days.

Afterwards you have a detent.

I had a nice layer of crap in my barrel, yet it is still the most accurate gun I have.
May work for you in this situation

Nail polish detents work wonders. I used them in my pmi 1, p68 sc, and the kp2 that I own now.
