Question on Guerrilla Air tanks...

Quick question, as I'm not terribly familiar with their products.

As per this photo, concerning the two HPA tanks in the center:

The right hand tank is a Guerrilla Air 22ci 3,000 psi aluminum-bottle screw-in air system with a Myth regulator, which I bought new off of eBay. The left hand tank is a... Guerrilla Air 22ci 3,000 psi aluminum-bottle screw-in air system with a Myth regulator, which I bought used off of MCB.

What's the difference? Assuming it's not a case of the seller mislabelling the used one for some reason, I'm guessing it's just age- the taller one being an older generation/earlier style.

I'm mainly interested in the tanks themselves, though. I wanted the long, skinny style on the left, but GA doesn't show, or no longer shows, that style on their website. Anyone know if GA still sells that style, and if not, anyone who does? Or am I going to have to keep scouring the used market?

Doc.

The skinny long one is not a GA tank
It a tank with a GA reg on(and a tank extension?)

The longer reg is the original Ambush reg, and it was really close (if not identical) to the old Dyna flow screw in reg. IIRC, made by the same subcontractor.

GA never sold that longer 22ci. That is a Catalina Cylinders tank.

GA sells the fatter shorter 22ci. They won't tell me who makes their tanks, but it is not Catalina.

Thanks guys.

I suppose one other question is, is that thin tank actually 22ci? While it's taller than the GA, it's also 20% smaller in diameter.

I suppose I could yank the regs and check by water volume...

Not that it's important or anything, just curious.

I believe that is the second version, which is milled differently.

The taller tank is going to fall under the 2x2 rule. So it does not need a hydrotest. As shown, it also has an older Ambush reg, which was most likely made here in the US. Before Dan partnered with YSN.

And speaking of YSN, as of a bit over a year ago, when YSN decided to remove the old guard GA staff, no one there, not even now that TA owns GA, will know much, if anything, about the older GA stuff. You would need to contact Dan Colby himself.
