This question goes out to fellow Azodin Kaos shooters.

I picked up a Azodin Kaos mech as a fun gun and would like to use HPA. They come stock with an asa and a gas thru fore grip.

When I switched out the asa/fore grip for an on/off and Dye Hyper 2 reg w/HPA tank, I cannot get my FPS to go above 240 or so.

Is the reg now allowing enough air to open the valve? Do I need to switch to a different spring to be able to up the FPS?

You nailed it. I don't have any experience with the hyper reg, but a quick google search told me that the max output pressure on it is 450 PSI. The Kaos was designed to run on unregulated co2, which normally sits at around 800 PSI or so. You need a high out put Reg.

Or you can pick up the Zero kit from Azodin. The kit lets you drop the operating pressure, thus allowing the use of an inline reg. I actually highly recommend, I have it on my Kaos.

Or any high flow valve, for that matter. I think certain spyder valves fit - i used a magna valve in an Azodin KP to run it on air.

Or you could just put the gas through fore grip back on and run the HPA direct.

Thanks for the input guys. Don't really want to put more money into it with the Zero kit.

Will try putting the gas-thru back on (just need to figure out how to get the air fitting off because it seems to have red Loc-Tite on the threads) and see if that changes the FPS.
