Disassemble your hammer and valve, and put the half-block and bolt in the gun. Looking up through the bottom of the gas transfer hole, see how lined up the gas transfer hole in the receiver and bolt are.

As well as what raptor mentioned about de burring, I would suggest for starters, checking your dimensions against the second post here.

You probably need a heavier hammer. This is a common issue with half blocks, the stock hammer is missing the weight of the cocking rod and collar, so it s too light. Doesn't have the weight with low tension to open the valve proper. With higher tension it hits the valve way too fast. No creamy middle.

I forget who makes 'em but there are heavy tungsten hammers out there.
