Stainless Freak tips/fronts?

As the title indicates, I'm wondering:

1. If SP (or anyone) made fronts/tips in stainless and, if so,

2. In what styles (AA/Freak/Teardrop, etc.)

Seem to recall that they did, but just want to be certain.

You mean . . .

A barrel dimensionally corresponding to the freak back?

If all else fails, that might be in the cards.

What's the going rate for something like that?

your best bet is to find a SP "Stainless Beauty" barrel. its a one piece barrel(that looks like 2 pieces), which looks like a all american barrel, but has a muzzle break.

found you a pic:

You might want to think carefully about the ergonomic impact of all that weight out at the tip of your barrel. There are polished clear aluminum freak tips that won't be quite as fancy, but will weigh a lot less.

Stainless is VERY heavy. Put it out at the tip of your barrel and it gets even heavier. It will slow down your snap shooting. Just saying.

Yep. Heavy is good. Already have several aluminum and stainless barrels, and much prefer stainless. They are more than quick enough, and also have the advantage of properly balancing the mass of a classic mag, at least for me.

But I appreciate the word of caution, nonetheless.

Nobody, thanks for the pic.

But again, does anyone know if any stainless fronts were ever made?

i don't think so. since the freak barrel was an evolution of the 2 piece barrel, and the 2 piece was an evolution from the one piece, boil all that in with the lighter is better motif that's been running on the guns since the past 10 years, and the answer is no.

you're best bet if you want this is exactly what you are doing. get the barrel send it to Stauchy and give him money to do the mod.
