SP Wood Grips On a Sheridan Frame

Howdy folks! I recently picked up a pair of smart parts wood grips that I am looking to put on my pgp. Does anyone have any experience in modifying these grips to fit the sheridan frame?

Thanks!

Spach

they make sp grips that fit sheridan frames, dont ruin a pair of 45s because the angle is way off and the modification would look ugly as sin

Let me clarify, it's not the two-hole 45 grips I'm looking to modify, its the one hole wood grips...

Just be careful around the pin area. It'll get really thin up there by the time you're done.

Shortening or grinding down the sear pin, gives you more room to spare.

Alright thanks for the heads up! I'll actually be putting a larger pin in there for a umb stock, so I'll wait until I get those in the mail before I start grinding away.

Oh... I was talking about the pins at the front of the grip that align them and hold them together.

Honestly I wouldn't use a UMB with those wood grips. There will be an uncomfortable gap at the front.

It's really not too bad. I'll take a pic and post it tomorrow. I have wood SP grips on 3 or 4 of my Sheridan grip guns, a few of which have UMB's.

The grips I purchased actually didn't come with those alignment pins :\ But it looks like the area I'm going to be grinding down ends just before the alignment pin holes.

Do you think a hardware store might have something along the lines of replacing them?

And thanks! I'd like to get an idea of what I'm working towards
