Well, it IS an old tank...
I have a 7oz from 1993. It is under the 2" rule, so no hydro. I got it filled today. Tonight, while my wife was relaxing in the spare room, the bust disk ruptured on the dang thing. Got my wife moving with a quickness! Fortunately I keep my 2" bottles in a tool box, so it just made a lot of noise and some "steam".

I think I'll just buy a 9oz for $20...

For smaller tanks I've converted a couple into emergency inflation kits, portable sprayers (insecticide, paint, tar) one was even made into a tulip/bulb planter.

Speaking of which there are a few unfinished 20oz steins in the basement.

Recycle the aluminum ones...

The 24oz tanks make *great* beer steins, with the top cut off, and a handle added.
