12g too big for Faast/Quick change!

Been looking all around the forum and can't find anything on it.

Just bought a faast change from Palmers for my P68sc.

Besides the fact that the adapter can't screw in all the way, I also can't get 12g through the adapter. It gets about 3/4 of the way through then the back gets stuck on the end.

Using Crosman 12g.

Any ideas before I take tools to it?

Crosman are on the larger size of the 12 gram. Cooperheads and the Brass Eagle 12 grams are a little smaller and should work ok.
